The Nerd Nest Kolkata

I have stayed at Nerd Nest Hostel in Kolkata, and this was actually my third time staying here which itself says a lot about how much I like this place. It’s honestly one of the best and most beautiful hostels in the city. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The hostel has around 4 rooms with 8 bunk beds each, all with AC. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and the WiFi is fast. Each bed comes with its own charging point and reading light, which is very convenient. There are curtains for privacy, which is a big plus, and lockers are also provided. Breakfast is included simple but nice, with items like poha, sandwiches, or parathas depending on the day. The location is great too. The nearest metro station, Salt Lake Sector V, is just a 5–7 minute walk away. The area is nice and peaceful, and places like Airport, Eco Park and New Town are nearby. They also have some fun things like a foosball table. The kitchen is open for use, laundry is very cheap (around ₹10 per cloth), and ironing is free (which we have to do ourselves), which is super helpful. Definitely recommended! ✨
