This is an exceptionally clean, quiet, and secure place to live especially if you've temporarily relocated to Gujarat for work—but it is definitely on the expensive side. Expect to pay around ₹12,500 to ₹13,000 for a 3-sharing room, and ₹15,000 for a 2-sharing setup.
The rent includes three meals a day, plus chaash (buttermilk) for both lunch and dinner. Breakfast is mostly Gujarati dishes like poha, dhokla, khaman, and chana. Lunch is consistently good, usually serving dal, roti, sabzi, and chawal. Dinner can be a bit unpredictable—sometimes it’s street food like dabeli, pani puri, or vada pav, and other times it’s dal chawal. Just note that no food is provided on Sunday nights.
However, there are two major downsides. First, there is a serious lack of privacy; the owner frequently enters rooms without knocking. Second, be aware of their rigid move-out policy. If you move in mid-month (for example, on the 10th), they do not prorate your rent when you leave. You will either be forced to vacate by the last day of the calendar month or asked to pay a full extra month's rent just to stay for your complete 30-day cycle.
