Abuzz Oxfordcaps Shahpur Jat - Budget Hostel/PG in New Delhi

Hi! I'm a student at Gargi College and I've been living here for almost a year now. Finding a good PG that is affordable and delivers all the basic needs required was quite a task until I found Abuzz Oxfordcaps, which is around 2 km from college. Honestly, what caught my attention was that there was NO SECURITY DEPOSIT(which really helped as a student) and it had all the stuff I needed like AC room, laundry facility, wi fi, etc. The biometric security and common areas were also a nice bonus. One thing I've really liked is the location. It has everything close by like general stores, stationery stores, cyber cafe and even small cafes for a break. The food is surprisingly good for PG standards(which I wasn't expecting at all). This PG gave me memories and friends for a lifetime.

I had a great experience staying at this Girls PG. It's located near Gargi College, KNC, and IHE, and is just 5 minutes from Hauz Khas and Green Park Metro, making it perfect for students and working professionals. The PG is budget-friendly and offers excellent value for money. The food service is excellent, with fresh, hygienic, and tasty meals served every day. They provide free AC, laundry, and WiFi, and the best part is there are no electricity charges and no brokerage, which makes it even more affordable. The management is very professional with a completely female staff that is always helpful and supportive. Safety is a top priority, with CCTV surveillance, day guard, and night guard, so it feels very secure. I really liked the library and study space, which is peaceful and ideal for students. There's also a casual cooking facility whenever you want to prepare something for yourself. The common areas are clean, spacious, and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and homely atmosphere. Overall, if you're looking for a safe, hygienic, budget-friendly Girls PG with excellent facilities near Gargi College, KNC, IHE, Hauz Khas, and Green Park Metro, I would highly recommend this place!

So glad I moved here honestly. The location is super convenient if you’re at Gargi or KNC, and it’s just 5 mins from Hauz Khas metro station. Huge plus that there’s no brokerage or surprise electricity bills stacked on top of the rent. The food actually tastes homelike, free laundry and AC make life so much easier, and the dedicated study space is a lifesaver during end-sems. Being an all-female staff with 24/7 guards, I’ve always felt completely safe here. 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for a clean, budget-friendly girls PG!

Moving to Delhi was stressful, but finding this PG made it so much easier. It's a budget friendly near Gargi, KNC and IHE just 5 minutes from Hauz Khas and Green Park Metro. Safety was my parents biggest concern and this PG gave them complete peace of mind with CCTV day & night guards and all-female staff. No brokerage or electricity charges plus free AC, Wi-Fi and laundry make it an excellent choice for students. If you're looking for a safe, hygienic and budget friendly girls PG in South Delhi, I highly recommend this place.

My stay here was very disappointing. The electricity would randomly go out, which was very inconvenient, especially during night. The Wi-Fi was unreliable and slow most of the time, making it difficult to get anything done. The AC was not very effective and often failed to cool the room properly. The bathroom and shower lighting was also poor, making it inconvenient to use. When I left for a few days during my stay, my fan was removed and I had to sleep in a random bed for a night. The replaced fan was very dirty and was not cleaned even after repeated requests. The biggest issue, however, was the staff's and manager's behavior. I found them to be rude and unprofessional. Instead of addressing concerns politely, I was spoken to disrespectfully over minor issues, which made the environment feel unwelcoming, uncomfortable and hostile. There was also an incident of theft that one of the residents faced which got sorted finally but that says a lot about the standard of safety at the dormitory. On complain of an issue i faced relating to the theft of a key, the manager was quite dismissive and uncooperative and I had to pay a fine of ₹500 even though the key was stolen from me and I had clearly communicated the same. Overall, the combination of poor maintenance, unreliable amenities, and discourteous staff made for a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this place. P.S. Since the management has chosen to respond publicly, I'd like to clarify a few inaccuracies: My review is based solely on my personal experience. Mentioning the experience of the two friends who recommended the place is irrelevant. Unless you have personally asked them and have their permission to speak on their behalf, claiming they "were happy and satisfied" is simply an assumption. Sofa/dining area: The property is extremely overcrowded, and the sofa is placed directly between the dining tables and the kitchen counter where the microwave is kept. It is reasonable for a new resident to assume it forms part of the dining area. Once I was informed otherwise, I immediately moved and never repeated it. Gate register: I occasionally missed making an entry. When it was pointed out, I apologised immediately and complied. Forgetting to sign a register is a human error, not deliberate misconduct, and describing me as "irritated" is inaccurate. "Slouching"/decorum: I was never informed that sitting with my legs up on the sofa was against any rule or that there was such a strict decorum regarding posture. I was sitting that way because I had severe leg cramps and there was poor mobile signal on my bed as I had politely explained to you. Instead of being politely informed, I was spoken to disrespectfully over the phone and told I lacked "common sense." Is that hospitality to you? Fan: Your own staff informed me that the fan above my bunk was removed while I was away. Since the fan was mounted above the upper bunk, someone necessarily had to get onto my bed to remove it. Whether it was your staff or someone acting under your supervision, my personal sleeping space was accessed during my absence without my knowledge or consent. The replacement fan was also extremely dirty and remained so despite repeated requests. Electricity, Wi-Fi and AC: These were my genuine experiences during my stay. Whether the power outages were due to the electricity department does not change the inconvenience residents faced. Key: I informed the management immediately that my key had been taken. I was still required to pay ₹500 despite reporting the matter promptly. Referring to it later as "misplaced" does not change how the situation was handled. Your response repeatedly shifts responsibility onto the resident while avoiding responsibility for the concerns that were raised. My review is simply an honest account of my own experience.
